Ambassador Eshete underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral consultation between the Ethiopian and Nigerian Embassies within the framework of the Group of African Ambassadors in Brussels (GAAB).
He emphasized the value of working collectively to advance south-South cooperation and priorities through such platforms, noting Ethiopia’s presidency of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) from 1 August 2026 to 31 January 2027.
Ambassador Adeyemi, for his part, expressed his views on the need to work together and appreciated for Ethiopia’s constructive role in championing African causes. He also stated his commitment to strengthening engagement and cooperation between the two Missions. Furthermore, he commended Ethiopia’s ongoing development progress and the transformative changes taking place in the country.
Both Ambassadors agreed on the need to maintaining open and constructive dialogue on issues of mutual interest for the success of their tenure in brussels.
